Deleting your Chirps account

Chirps works without an account. If you made one for the social features — the Feed, Friends and the Leaderboard — you can delete it at any time, from inside the app, without asking us.

Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Open the Feed tab. 2. Tap the profile icon in the toolbar. 3. Tap the settings icon at the top of your profile. 4. Tap Delete Account, then confirm.

It happens immediately and it cannot be undone.

If you no longer have the app

Email support@chirps.app from the address you signed in with, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm once it is done.

What is deleted

Everything we hold about the account:

your email address and the sign-in record
your username, friend code, avatar, join date and level
every bird you chose to share, and the level-ups in your friends' feeds
your friendships, pending requests and blocked list
your highlights

Nothing is archived and nothing is retained after deletion.

What is not deleted, because we never had it

Your recordings, your exact locations and your own collection on the phone are not ours to delete — identification runs on your device and those never reach us. They stay on your phone, and deleting your account leaves them exactly where they are. To remove them too, use Settings → Reset Everything in the app, or uninstall it.

If you subscribed to Chirps Plus, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription — manage that in the Google Play Store or the App Store, whichever you subscribed through.
